Job Summary:
The South Middleton School District is looking for highly qualified candidates to fill a Full-Time Middle School Physical and Life Science Teacher position.
Applicants are expected to have a firm grasp of PA Common Core Standards, STEELS Standards, strong skills in using technology in order to enhance learning, and the ability to utilize data to drive instruction. Most importantly, applicants must have the skills to provide a safe and nurturing classroom environment. In addition, finalists will have to demonstrate the skills necessary to work on a dynamic, collaborative teaching team and with a highly skilled secondary school faculty.
This position will be an eight (8) hour/day shift, with a 30-minute duty free lunch and 189 days/year.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field
  • PA Teacher certification
  • In-depth knowledge of current best practices in teaching
  • Strong experience in data analytics and instructional planning
  • Must be able to work with students
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to multi-task with frequent interruptions
  • Ability to exercise good judgement
