Job Overview
Fairview is looking for a Research Assistant to join our team at our Community Health & Wellness Hub in St. Paul, MN. The Research Assistant collects, abstracts, reviews, compiles, and enters data into various computer systems. Assists with design of survey tools. Ensures data quality and error-correction for research, program evaluation and outcome-related projects. Prepares and presents both oral and written reports. Interprets statistics and graphs as needed.
Position Details:
  • 1.0 FTE (80 hours per pay period)
  • day shift
  • as needed weekend rotations
  • onsite role

Responsibilities
  • Support Participant Recruitment - Review schedules to identify potential participants. Prepare recruitment materials. Make reminder calls and send appointment reminders. Track recruitment metrics.
  • Administrative Support - Prepare study packets and visit materials. Scan and file study documents. Maintain study binders and electronic files. Organize investigator site files.
  • Data Entry and Quality Control - Enter research data into study databases. Verify accuracy of entered data. Resolve minor data discrepancies. Maintain tracking logs.
  • Regulatory Document Support - Prepare documents for IRB submissions. Organize essential study documentation.
  • Study Visit - Consenting and working with study subjects.

Required Qualifications
  • 2 years experience in clinical or other health care setting, or equivalent combination of education and research experience.
  • Knowledge of Medical terminology and coding

Preferred Qualifications
  • Some college coursework in computer science, research design and statistics.
  • Statistical software (SPSS)
