Senior Medical Editor 

Position Overview 

The Senior Medical Editor ensures the quality, accuracy, and compliance of medical content across various promotional and educational materials. This role involves reviewing materials for scientific accuracy, adherence to style guides, and consistency while mentoring junior editors. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Edit and proofread scientific and promotional content for grammar, consistency, and accuracy 
  • Ensure adherence to AMA style, brand guidelines, and regulatory requirements 
  • Collaborate with medical, creative, and account teams to refine content 
  • Verify references and citations for scientific accuracy and compliance 
  • Provide final proofreading and quality control of client deliverables 
  • Support the development and implementation of editorial processes and best practices 
  • Mentor junior editors and provide training on industry and editorial standards 

Qualifications 

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in English, Journalism, Life Sciences, or a related field 
  • 5+ years of experience in medical or pharmaceutical editing 
  • Strong knowledge of AMA style and industry regulations 
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines 
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills 
  • Experience with digital and print content workflows 
  • Familiarity with medical and promotional review platforms 

Salary Range: $75,000 - $110,000 CAD
