Our client, a rapidly growing wealth management and financial planning firm, is seeking an experienced Insurance Operations Manager to lead and expand its insurance division. This is a highly visible leadership opportunity for an insurance professional who combines strong technical expertise with a passion for team development, advisor support, and business growth.

This individual will serve as the leader of the life insurance, long-term care, and annuity practice, partnering closely with financial advisors and senior leadership to drive results.


Key Responsibilities

Insurance Operations & Underwriting

  • Oversee underwriting, case design, placement, and policy implementation processes
  • Develop and enhance workflows to ensure an efficient, compliant client experience
  • Collaborate with insurance carriers to secure competitive solutions and favorable underwriting outcomes
  • Act as a resource for complex cases and product recommendations

Illustration & Case Design

  • Oversee the preparation and review of insurance and annuity illustrations
  • Ensure accuracy and effectiveness of client-facing proposals and advisor presentations
  • Support advisors with product comparisons and case strategy

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, develop, and manage a growing insurance operations team
  • Establish best practices and drive operational excellence
  • Mentor staff and create opportunities for ongoing professional development

Advisor Support

  • Serve as the internal subject matter expert on life insurance, long-term care, and annuity products
  • Partner with financial advisors to identify appropriate solutions for clients

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced designations such as CLU, ChFC, or CFP are highly valued or a L& H License
  • Strong knowledge of underwriting, placement, case management, and illustration production
  • Understanding of insurance regulations, compliance, and industry best practices
  • Proven leadership and team development experience
