POSITION SUMMARY:

The Account Executive is responsible for brokering and managing key client relationships for personal insurance. The Account Executive will be involved in developing and maintaining the client relationship beyond the annual transactional renewal period. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Support Producers – help prepare for key prospect/clients meetings
  • Coordinating all client related service needs among service team relating to marketing, claims, risk       management and placement administration
  • Direct responsibility for client retention, growth, achievement of operating margin targets, and             fostering a culture of performance and continuous improvement
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with existing clients by executing proactive, creative, and on-        going contact initiatives
  • Recommend potential enhancements and account round for coverage and/or policies we do not            currently handle
  • Recommend improvements to process/workflows that create efficiencies and/or provide a higher level of service to clients
  • Stay current on market changes to rates, coverages changes, emerging risks, and carriers as respects to mergers/acquisitions and emerging carriers
SPECIFIC TASKS:
  • Coordinate with team/Producer to complete coverage review for prospects
  • Utilize system capability (AMS/Vertafore) and properly to maintain complete and accurate client and    policy data
  • Develop client ready content, speaking engagements, white papers, etc.
  • Complete contract reviews for clients
  • Request renewal information from the client
  • Select insurers for submission; negotiate quotes; complete coverage analysis
  • Develop and present renewal proposal
  • Request order to bind and submit binders to client
  • Ensure policy/endorsement issuance to client within 30 days
EXPERIENCE / EDUCATION / LICENSES (SKILLS/ABILITIES):
  • 7 + years of relevant insurance industry experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree is preferred
  • Property & Casualty license required
  • Insurance industry designations are preferred
  • Intermediate to advanced level of experience with Excel and PowerPoint
The actual base pay offered is determined by several variables, including, as appropriate, the applicant's qualifications for the position, years of relevant experience, distinctive skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held.  Base pay is one component of B. F. Saul Insurance’s total compensation package, which also includes access to or eligibility for healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan, short-term and long-term disability coverage, basic life insurance, commission incentives and more.
