Job description

Back-of-House Team Leader (Full-Time)

Chick-fil-A Gateway — Lane County, OR

\Be part of Lane County's Most Caring Company — where great food is only the beginning.\

Why this role matters

In our high-volume kitchen, every sandwich, nugget, and waffle fry is a leadership moment. Our Back-of-House Team Leaders coach crews, drive production, and protect the Chick-fil-A brand with uncompromising food safety and quality.

What you'll get to do:

Lead

  • Own the entire hot-food line, cold-prep, and dish loop across an operational week
  • Set positions, manage breaks, and keep every Team Member safe, focused and fueled
  • Make the call in real time — you're the primary decision-maker on your shift

Coach

  • Train, evaluate, and celebrate Team Members using the SERVE model (See the Future, Engage & Develop Others, Reinvent Continuously, Value Results & Relationships, Embody a Leader's Heart)
  • Run daily huddles that turn tasks into purpose — reminding each person why the chicken matters
  • Give honest feedback to peers and team members in the moments that count

Optimize

  • Hit and hold top-20% chain benchmarks in Taste, Speed (under 5 minutes), and Food & Paper Cost
  • Adjust prep, thaw, and deployment plans on the fly — balancing labor with demand
  • Partner with Inventory, Vendors, senior leaders, and the CFA Support Center to keep the kitchen future-ready
Who you are
  • Required: Prior shift lead, supervisor, foreman, or formal team leader experience in any industry.
  • Strongly preferred: Experience in a high-volume restaurant kitchen (QSR, fast casual, or full service)
  • A servant-hearted leader who's calm under fryer-fire, decisive with data, and hungry for wisdom
  • Able to lift 40 lbs, hustle on your feet, and commit to a Full-Time schedule including Friday and Saturday closes (no Sundays)
What's in it for you
  • $22/hour starting, reviewed every 6 months
  • Medical, dental, vision, life insurance, and 401(k)
  • Up to $25K in annual scholarships and leadership travel to the CFA Support Center in Atlanta
  • Sundays off, predictable scheduling, free shift meals, and a people-first culture
  • A clear runway to Shift Lead → Supervisor → Director — plus coaching from an Operator who invests in business-builders
How to apply

  1. Submit your résumé through the application
  2. Complete the questionnaire (about 15 minutes — bring your honest answers, not your polished ones)
  3. Selected candidates will be invited for interviews with the People and BOH leaders

Applications reviewed on a rolling basis.
