JOB SUMMARY

The Geospatial Technician III will be self-motivated, possess an ambitious work ethic, be a great team player who gets along well with others, and is very dependable and punctual. The Geospatial Technician III will be working on a variety of projects including LiDAR, Photogrammetry, Survey, and GIS.

INTER-RELATIONSHIPS

Employees, Managers, and Supervisors throughout the corporation, and various external customers, vendors, consultants, and governmental regulatory officials.

MAJOR TASKS

  • Interact professionally with internal personnel.
  • Photogrammetry, Mobile, Aerial, and Terrestrial data processing, calibration, classification, and extraction for use in O&G, transportation, transmission, and related projects.
  • Communicate with field crew to ensure work is complete and meets quality expectations.
  • Communicate with other employees regarding project schedules.
  • Utilize a variety of software to create and edit Geospatial data, including: Microstation, Terrasolid Suite, Global Mapper, Phoenix LiDAR Suite, Pix4D, and AutoCAD.
  • Establishes and maintains schedules and provides progress reports.
  • Assist with data acquisition mission planning and implementation.
  • QA/QC and deliver project deliverables. โ€ขOther duties as assigned.

JOB SKILL REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must inherently be a fast learner, pick up on technical principles & theory, while performing the practical implementation of the latest surveying and Geospatial technology on the market.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret field notes and sketches.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software used to draft reports and letters.
  • Basic understanding of survey procedures and survey field data collection methods.
