Duration: 7+ Months

  • Position is on-site, 40 hours per week, Monday thru Friday flexible hours, either 7:30am to 4pm or 8am to 4:30pm, half hour unpaid lunch. 
  • About the Job: This position serves as the Licensing Renewal Coordinator of the Indiana Department of Insurance (IDOi), The Licensing Renewal Coordinator ls charged with the responsibility of maintaining state compliance with the laws, rules, policies, and procedures of renewal and reinstatement licensing of resident and non-resident insurance producers (agents/brokers) and consultants, and resident and non-resident Insurance agencies, The position accepts and reviews license renewal and reinstatement applications, Including any civil, criminal, or administrative background documents, and makes determinations as to a candidate's eliglblllty for renewal of a license as governed through the laws, rules, and policies of the state. The position works with the IDOI Enforcement Division, Vertafore/Sircon, NIPR, FINRA, and other state departments of Insurance in verifying possible disqualifications on an Individual or firm's record.
  • The position also utilizes MyCase.in,gov, NIPR Attachments Warehouse, I-Site, Slrcon for States, e-PAL, INBlz, FINRA Broker Check, and other databases when reviewing renewal applications. The position processes license reinstatement waiver forms needed for producers to take the IDOi Laws & Regulations exam as a part of reinstating an expired license within one year of the license expiring.
  • The position advises candidates on the reinstatement process and requirements and tracks a candidate's reinstatement progress.
  • The position maintains the IDOi licensing renewal and reinstatement web pages at www.ln.gov/idoi.
  • The position works with system vendors, such as Vertafore/Silicon and NIPR, In troubleshooting system errors, addressing insurance producer, consultant, or agency renewal/reinstatement concerns, and Implementing system or process improvements.
  • The position also manages all communications with Internal and external stakeholders regarding producer, consultant, and agency licensing renewal/reinstatement questions, concerns, or Initiatives.
  • The position coordinates with and assists the Education Coordinator with the processing of continuing education (CE) due-date extension forms and CE retirement exemption forms.

Required skills:

  • High School Diploma
  • Strong Customer Service experience in a business/professional environment.
  • Practical knowledge of MS Office, Word, Excel, Teams.
  • Prior experience in the LAH/P&C insurance industry (Life, Accident & Health; Property & Casualty).
  • Prior experience working in a call center setting.
