Job description

The Literacy Connections program at Warren County Community Services, Inc. recruits volunteer tutors to teach adult basic education reading and comprehension skills to adults age 18 and over, inluding those whose native language is not English.

Tutors and students are matched within their communities and meet in local libraries and other public buildings. Virtual tutoring is also acceptable.

Volunteer tutors must attend a orientation, either in-person or virtually. Literacy Connections recommends that students and tutors meet once a week, for at least one year. All materials are provided free of charge.

Volunteers are needed.
