Position purpose
To assist the professional staff in the operation of the library
Major Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
Check and sign-in purchase orders.
Stamp, barcode, and process new materials getting ready for cataloging.
Spine label books and other materials.
Staffing the checkout desk to assist with checkout/check-in circulation and reserve book and material requests.
Assist in keeping the library neat and tidy, including re-shelving books and periodicals, inventory, straightening up and organizing.
Assist students, faculty, and staff in locating library materials and retrieve requests for materials not readily available.
Update LibGuides as often as needed to convey monthly information.
Update bulletin board and nook areas to display library offerings.
Assist students and staff with technical issues, i.e.- computers, logins, simulators, and printers, etc.
Any other jobs deemed necessary for library operation by FT Professional Staff.
