They assist librarians by shelving books, managing inventory, processing new materials, and helping patrons locate resources. Library Technical Assistants often use library databases and technology systems to keep records accurate and up to date. Their work ensures the library operates smoothly and patrons have access to needed materials and services.

What does a library technical assistant do?

Library technical assistants handle items being checked in or out by patrons, shelve books and materials, and update the library database or catalog with new shipments of materials.
