• Develop and execute a comprehensive information governance program aligned with the firm's strategic objectives
• Establish policies, standards, procedures, and controls for physical and electronic information
• Lead enterprise-wide information lifecycle management, records management, retention, disposition, and information risk reduction initiatives
• Advise firm leadership on information governance trends, legal requirements, and industry best practices
• Participate in cross-functional governance committees and working groups
• Oversee firm-wide physical and electronic records management and retention programs
• Maintain records retention schedules and implement defensible disposition programs
• Establish information classification and metadata standards
• Ensure controls for information archiving, preservation, and destruction
• Monitor laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting information governance, privacy, records management, and data protection
• Partner with General Counsel, Risk Management, Compliance, and Privacy teams on legal and regulatory obligations
• Support client audits, outside counsel guidelines, security assessments, and information governance questionnaires
• Develop legal hold governance policies and collaborate with Litigation Support and eDiscovery teams on holds, preservation, collections, and defensible processes
• Assist with internal investigations, regulatory inquiries, and client matters requiring information preservation and retrieval
• Partner with Information Security, Privacy, and Technology teams on governance, security, and privacy controls
• Support data classification, data mapping, and information inventory initiatives
• Identify and mitigate information-related risks, including over-retention, unauthorized access, and data exposure
• Participate in incident response activities involving information management and regulatory reporting
• Establish governance standards and policies for artificial intelligence and emerging technologies
• Assess governance implications of new technologies, cloud platforms, and collaboration tools
• Lead and develop Information Governance, Records Management, and related personnel
• Establish metrics, reporting, and key performance indicators
• Manage vendors, technology solutions, and service providers
• Prepare and manage departmental budgets and strategic plans
• Conduct training and awareness programs

• 10+ years of progressive experience in information governance, records management, legal operations, compliance, eDiscovery, privacy, or related disciplines
• Significant experience within a law firm, legal services organization, or highly regulated professional services environment preferred
• Demonstrated experience developing enterprise-wide governance programs and policies
• Experience managing legal hold, retention, disposition, privacy, and compliance initiatives
• Experience leading teams and managing cross-functional projects
• Deep understanding of information governance principles and lifecycle management practices
• Knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements affecting law firms and client information
• Familiarity with eDiscovery platforms, document management systems, records management technologies, and cloud collaboration environments
• Understanding of privacy, cybersecurity, data governance, and AI governance concepts
• Advanced degree (JD, MLS, MBA, MS in Information Management, Library Science, Information Governance, or related field) preferred
• Relevant certifications preferred, including IGP, CRM, CIP, CIPP/US, CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT, CDIA+, or CEDS
