As our digital business continues to grow, we are seeking a creative, strategic, and social-first Social Media & Community Manager to lead the growth of our organic social media presence while building an engaged community around the Spring Step Shoes brand.

This role will own the strategy, planning, creation, publishing, and optimization of Spring Step Shoes' organic social media presence across all major platforms. Working closely with eCommerce, Creative, Merchandising, Customer Service, and external creators, you will develop compelling content that showcases our products, craftsmanship, people, and brand personality while building an engaged community that drives brand awareness, customer loyalty, and long-term business growth.

What You'll Do

Content Creation & Brand Storytelling (35%)

Own the creation of engaging, platform-native content across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, YouTube, and emerging social platforms.

Produce original photography, short-form videos, Reels, TikToks, Stories, product features, styling inspiration, educational content, behind-the-scenes videos, employee spotlights, customer stories, and seasonal campaign content.

Capture authentic content throughout the corporate office, product development process, retail stores, trade shows, photoshoots, events, and customer experiences.

Bring seasonal campaigns, product launches, and brand storytelling to life through compelling social-first content.

Partner closely with the Creative team to ensure all content reflects Spring Step Shoes' premium brand identity while remaining authentic to each platform.

Build and maintain a centralized digital content library for use across social media, email marketing, website content, paid advertising, and future campaigns.

Continuously identify new content opportunities that showcase the lifestyle, comfort, craftsmanship, and personality behind the Spring Step Shoes brand.

Social Media Strategy & Community Growth (30%)

Develop and execute the overall organic social media strategy that increases brand awareness, engagement, audience growth, and customer loyalty.

Own the monthly social content calendar in partnership with eCommerce, Creative, and Merchandising teams.

Manage daily publishing across all social media platforms while ensuring consistent brand messaging and visual quality.

Build meaningful relationships with customers through active community management by responding to comments, direct messages, tagged content, and customer conversations.

Foster an engaged online community that encourages conversation, advocacy, and long-term customer relationships.

Stay current on platform updates, algorithms, emerging trends, and new social features to continuously improve performance.

Monitor competitor activity and industry best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and growth.

Influencer, Creator & User-Generated Content (UGC) Strategy (25%)

Develop and execute Spring Step Shoes' influencer, creator, affiliate, and user-generated content strategy.

Identify, recruit, and cultivate relationships with creators, influencers, affiliates, and brand ambassadors aligned with the Spring Step Shoes brand.

Coordinate product gifting, creator collaborations, affiliate partnerships, social campaigns, and influencer activations.

Develop scalable customer UGC initiatives that encourage authentic product reviews, styling inspiration, and brand advocacy.

Source, organize, and repurpose creator-generated content across social media, website, email marketing, SMS marketing, and paid advertising.

Maintain an organized library of creator and customer-generated assets for future marketing initiatives.

Measure creator performance, campaign engagement, and ROI while continuously optimizing partnership strategies.

Analytics, Reporting & Optimization (10%)

Monitor performance across all organic social media channels and regularly analyze campaign results.

Track KPIs including audience growth, engagement rate, reach, impressions, saves, shares, video views, watch time, referral traffic, website sessions, and revenue influenced by organic social media.

Identify top-performing content and provide actionable recommendations for continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience managing social media, content marketing, community management, or brand marketing for a consumer, fashion, footwear, lifestyle, or direct-to-consumer brand.
  • Demonstrated success growing social media audiences, engagement, and organic brand awareness.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing original photography, videography, short-form video, and social media campaigns.
  • Experience developing and executing organic social media strategies across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, Pinterest, and YouTube.
  • Strong photography, videography, lighting, and mobile content creation skills.
  • Proficiency with CapCut, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Premiere Pro, Lightroom), Canva, or similar creative tools.
  • Experience planning and managing content calendars.
  • Experience developing influencer, creator, affiliate, or user-generated content programs.
  • Excellent copywriting, storytelling, and communication skills.
  • Comfortable appearing on camera when appropriate.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Self-motivated, creative, and passionate about fashion, footwear, retail, and building authentic online communities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience growing a direct-to-consumer fashion, footwear, or lifestyle brand through organic social media.
