Summary
United Capital Funding is seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Marketing and Communications Manager to support marketing, communications, and business development efforts. This position is responsible for executing approved initiatives, coordinating projects, and continuously improving marketing deliverables on existing marketing strategies and campaign vision. The ideal candidate is an organized, creative marketer who is eager to learn, comfortable managing multiple projects, and able to collaborate with sales leadership and team members to support company visibility, referral source engagement, and brand consistency. This role will primarily support sales enablement, digital content, and marketing communications while assisting with company events and brand initiatives as needed.
Location: This position is based at United Capital Funding's headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida, and is expected to work primarily in person, with occasional travel for company meetings, events, conferences, or client-facing initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Draft, edit, and publish marketing and communications materials, including emails, website content, newsletters, presentations, sales collateral, case studies, press releases, social media content, and company-wide communications.
  • Create, schedule, and maintain digital content across company websites, social media channels, email campaigns, landing pages, and referral source outreach initiatives.
  • Maintain and support UCF's Salesforce environment at an administrative level, including campaign setup, data hygiene, email templates, dashboards, reporting, user support, and marketing-related platform updates, in coordination with or at the direction of the parent organization.
  • Support sales, business development, and strategic partner initiatives through prospect-facing materials, lead generation campaigns, referral source engagement, and updated marketing resources.
  • Maintain brand standards, collateral libraries, marketing templates, digital assets, and branded materials used by employees, partners, and sales teams.
  • Assist with basic graphic design, layout updates, customer testimonials, online reviews, case studies, public relations, earned media opportunities, and brand visibility efforts.
  • Coordinate company events, trade shows, conferences, webinars, client events, and employee engagement activities, including communications, promotional materials, logistics, reporting, and follow-up.
  • Work with vendors, agencies, printers, promotional product suppliers, and other external partners to support SEO, digital content, branded merchandise, leave-behinds, trade show materials, and approved marketing initiatives.
  • Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of leadership/management and upon business needs.

Requirements
Skills/Experience/Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Business, or a related field.
  • 2-4 years of professional marketing, communications, internship, or related experience.
  • Experience using Salesforce in an administrative, campaign management, reporting, or data maintenance capacity; familiarity with HubSpot, WordPress, or comparable marketing platforms is a plus.
  • Experience creating written content for business audiences.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and website content management.
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or similar design software.
  • Financial services, banking, B2B, or professional services marketing experience is helpful but not required.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects, balance competing priorities, proactively communicate deadlines, and consistently deliver accurate, high-quality work.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Basic understanding of social media management and digital marketing principles.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across departments.
