Job description

The Library is looking to add an On-call Line/Grill Cook to the team. We are looking for people like you who are curious, hardworking, and always looking to improve.
The Inn at SentryWorld, is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic On-call Line/Grill Cook I to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing and serving our restaurant and room service guests, maintaining cleanliness in assigned kitchen space and partnering with other team members to deliver exceptional service.

What You'll Do
As a Line/Grill Cook I, we entrust in you to be a leader in the operation and have a passion for training other associates, as well as delivering on customer service. In this role, you will be responsible for the following:
  • Prepare a variety of dishes made from our very own recipes and assist with baking pastry items as needed.

  • Set up assigned stations and gather necessary supplies/ingredients to prepare menu items for a successful service.

  • Serve menu items following established standards to meet or exceed guest expectations.

  • Maintain safety and sanitation guidelines to provide a safe and accident-free work environment.

  • Prepare and package items for Grab and Go station.

What it Takes
  • High School Diploma or equivalent work experience

  • Ability to obtain the State Food Handlers Certification

  • Previous cooking experience in a restaurant facility

  • Ability to prepare food from recipes, commensurate with incumbent's skills level

  • Ability to be Self-motivated

  • Ability to multi-task and able to follow written or verbal instructions

  • Ability to work flexible hours including nights, weekends and Holidays

This position can be filled as a Line/Grill Cook I or a Line/Grill Cook II based on the experience qualifications of the selected candidate.
