ESSENTIAL FUNCTION:
Maintain an inviting atmosphere to provide students, faculty, and staff assistance in the use of computers, scanners, printers as well as Microsoft applications within the Library. Provide a wide variety of basic public, technical, and clerical services including circulation and resource information. Assist users over the phone, online, and in person regarding Blackboard/online courses, student email and student portal inquiries. Collaborate with faculty, staff, and students to reserve designated study rooms/ class areas
Qualifications
EDUCATION:
1. High school diploma or equivalent
EXPERIENCE:
1. 1 year of library experience
2. Previous work experience in a customer-based office environment
SKILLS:1. Strong Microsoft Business Applications Processing skills
2. Excellent customer service in person, over the phone, and online.
3. Ability to adapt and learn new technology.
4. Ability to work independently, as well as collaboratively as a contributing team player.
5. Detail oriented, strong analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, and organizational skills.
6. Multitasking, time management and excellent communication skills.
7. A general knowledge of college policies and procedures. Specific knowledge of Library policies
and procedures applicable to Triton.

Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Daily contact with students, faculty, and staff, in person, over the telephone, and via email receiving requests for and providing information about Library & student service resources and their usage.
Manage the daily operations of the Service Desk at the Library
Circulating library materials: Alma ExLibris
Maintaining Loanable Technology inventory organization
Re-shelving, Shelf Reading, & Shifting books
Monitor the function of all computers, scanners, and printers, including changing toners and replenishing printer paper supply.
Maintain order of the Library, deal with disruptions, problems/concerns according to Triton College and the Library policies and procedures.
Ensure/safeguard opening and closing of the Library, attentiveness for the prevention of theft, destruction of hardware and software and illegal activities such as software prating and copyright infringement.
Identify software applications and hardware malfunctions and report to manager, coordinator or supervisor.
Other duties assigned.
