Requirements
Euroline Steel Windows & Doors is seeking a detail-oriented and skilled SolidWorks Drafter to join our Drafting Department. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate and detailed production drawings for custom steel window and door systems using SolidWorks. This role plays a critical part in transforming architectural designs and customer specifications into precise manufacturing-ready drawings that support production, engineering, and project execution.The successful candidate will possess strong technical drafting skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced custom manufacturing environment.
Essential Functions:
  • Receive and review project information, architectural drawings, customer specifications, and design requirements from the Drafting Manager.
  • Create detailed SolidWorks models, assemblies, and fabrication drawings for custom steel window and door systems.
  • Develop production-ready drawings including dimensions, material specifications, hardware details, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Revise and update existing drawings based on engineering changes, customer requests, and production feedback.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with company standards, quality requirements, and manufacturing capabilities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Project Coordinators, Production, and other departments to resolve design and drafting-related issues.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of drafting standards, templates, and drawing libraries.
  • Review drawings for accuracy, completeness, and constructability prior to release for production.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to drafting processes and workflow efficiency.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational objectives.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Proficient in SolidWorks with the ability to create detailed part, assembly, and fabrication drawings.
  • Strong understanding of drafting principles, geometric dimensioning, tolerancing, and manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, shop drawings, engineering specifications, and technical documents.
  • Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while meeting deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Working knowledge of steel fabrication, construction, or fenestration products is preferred.

Physical Demands:

  • Experience creating manufacturing, fabrication, or construction-related drawings preferred.
  • Experience in the window, door, glazing, steel fabrication, architectural products, or construction industry is a plus.
