Job description

Role Summary
Anthropologie Home is seeking a visionary Associate Designer for Home Accessories. The Associate Designer provides foundational support to the design team, assisting with the daily administrative and creative tasks required to move a product from concept to production. This role focuses on developing technical proficiency and a foundational understanding of the Anthropologie Home brand and customer.
Role Responsibilities
  • Design Concept Development
    • Create original and visually appealing product designs that align with current market trends and our brand
      identity
    • Support the design team in preparing materials, boards, and samples for concept and sketch presentations.
    • Organize and maintain the sample library, reference materials and color palettes.
  • Research and Development
    • Conduct home & fashion trend and market research and continually push new develop and innovative
      techniques and materials.
  • Sketching
    • Produce digital sketches to communicate design idea and explore creative concepts.
    • Technical Specifications and Product Execution
    • Assist in sketching under the guidance of senior staff.
    • Working with our product development team to assist in the creation of samples and evaluate the execution
      of sketches.
  • Collaboration
    • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including concept, product development, merchandising, and
      marketing, to ensure cohesive storytelling across all channels.
    • Help prepare and set up for Line Reviews and cross-functional meetings.

Role Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Inustrial Design, Product Design or similar area preferred.
  • Entry-level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator) and basic sketching skills. Interest
    in AI programs.
  • 2-4 years of industry experience.
  • Be curious about the world around you and design trends in social and media and retail
  • Foundational understanding of design principles and interest in home product construction.
  • Extreme attention to detail and strong management and organizational skills.
  • Strong desire to learn the retail business and design process in a fast-paced environment.
