Technology Children's Center at Lincoln Laboratories is hiring for a Teacher with Librarian and Kitchen Responsibilities'.

Position Summary:
Bright Horizons is seeking a dependable and organized individual to support both our children's resource/library area and our on-site warming kitchen. This dual-role position plays an important part in enhancing the learning environment for children while ensuring safe and efficient meal preparation and delivery.
Responsibilities:
  • Create hands-on activities to meet the needs and interests of the children
  • Maintain open communication with parents, sharing their child's daily milestones
  • Ensure a safe and clean classroom by following essential procedures and guidelines

Key Responsibilities:
Library & Classroom Support:
  • Maintain and organize the children's library, including books, literacy materials, and classroom resources
  • Assist teachers and children in selecting age-appropriate books and learning materials
  • Support literacy activities such as story time, book rotations, and themed displays
  • Monitor materials for cleanliness, safety, and age appropriateness
  • Promote a love of reading and language development in a childcare setting
  • Support in classroom coverage as needed for breaks and ratio coverage at time of need.

Warming Kitchen Support:
  • Receive, prepare, and serve meals and snacks according to Bright Horizons and licensing guidelines
  • Safely warm and portion food; ensure proper food handling, labeling, and storage
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen areas, utensils, and equipment
  • Follow all health, safety, and food service regulations
  • Track meal counts and assist with inventory as needed

Qualifications:
Candidates must pass required state and company background checks and meet state and company minimum education and experience requirements:
  • 18 years of age with a high school diploma or GED is required
  • College-level coursework in early childhood education, CDA, or an associate or bachelor's degree in early education or related field is preferred
  • 1 year of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) for children is required

Physical Requirements:
This position requires the employee to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, Bright Horizons', and client site requirements concerning immunizations, employment physical/screening, and health and safety training.
If hired, you will work in person in an early education/preschool child care center to provide supervision, care, curriculum delivery and services per Bright Horizons' policies, procedures and guidance, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations, and in a manner that will ensure the safety of children in Bright Horizons care and the employee.
