OVERALL FUNCTION

Assists with facilitating compliance efforts for clinical record documentation and chart maintenance standards for the MAT program and completes quality improvement tasks and projects as assigned.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Essential and other important responsibilities and duties may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Receiving referrals.
  2. Contacting caregiver and referral sources regarding referrals.
  3. Verifying insurance eligibility.
  4. Completing referral log.
  5. Entering client data in EHRS.
  6. Assigning client to therapists.
  7. Complete client intake data entry in EHRS.
  8. Intake audits.
  9. Complete Due date documents for each therapist.
  10. Complete discharges in EHRS.
  11. Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
  1. Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in a behavioral science or related field. 
  2. Three years of working experience in related field required. 
  3. Working knowledge of DMH and Title 22 documentation required. 
  4. Working knowledge of Quality Improvement practices preferred.
  5. Knowledge of privacy and security standards (HIPAA) preferred.
  6. Strong writing, communication, and teamwork skills with an ability to be a self-starter.
  7. Must be efficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point and Access).
  8. Proficient in maintaining, and tracking of information (outcome measures/ reporting).
  9. Knowledge of Electronic Health Record Systems (EHRS), Los Angeles County’s Integrated System (IS) and IBHIS preferred.
  10. Must have visual, physical and technical ability to independently operate a computer and a variety of office equipment, including telephone communications switchboard.
  11. Will require bending, stooping, filing and lifting of general office and health records.
  12. Must have ability to visually review data, hear and verbally communicate with others.
  13.   14. Must be able to pass criminal/fingerprinting background check, TB test, physical exam and drug screen tests.  Must have valid CA driver’s license and a clear DMV record or CA ID card.

In accordance with CA law, the expected pay range for this CA position is posted with this position. The actual compensation may be determined based on bona fide factors such as education, experience, and other factors permitted by law.
