Are you looking for an adventure where you can serve different communities by providing great service at a variety of JDL branch locations? In this role you will be scheduled for 25 hours a week with a consistent schedule. It may include days, evenings and weekends based on JDL's staffing needs. Your schedule might vary depending on needs, however, much of the time there will be advance notice as well as opportunities to pick up extra shifts up to 29 hours/week. Ability to travel between branches is a must, as you will get to work at many of our branches based on need.

As a Library Assistant I (LAI) you will support your manager to serve the needs of many diverse communities and provide superior customer service to patrons and coworkers.
To thrive in this role you must be flexible and radiate positivity as you work with the JDL team to promote the service-minded culture and vision of JDL.
Every day you will interact with patrons in varying ways. This will require professionalism, patience, and a solid understanding of JDL policies and procedures. A successful Library Assistant I (LAI) will have strong technology skills as well as an enthusiasm for serving the community. There will be a three-week comprehensive training period and solid support moving forward.
In conversations with patrons and coworkers the Library Assistant I (LAI) is expected to be JDL's biggest advocate. We are seeking someone that uses customer service talents to build relationships with patrons and the community. Someone that has taken the initiative and used good time management skills to support their coworkers. Someone with problem solving aptitudes and the ability to take direction and lead with optimism.
