Job description

Role: Systems Analyst

Location: Dallas, TX (Onsite 2x per week)

Duration: 12 months

Rate:  Market

  • CommandAlkon experience with a tool called Apex- previously known as JWS
  • Will help with site system maintenance and support, as well as new site system integration
  • can pull from anywhere except Command Alkon directly

Principal responsibilities/function of the position:

  • Focus will be on Apex and TrackIt applications; identified individual can fully translate system usage into business language
  • Participates in Digital Partnership activities and contributes to the standard business process outline for the Aggregates workstream across all North American business units.
  • Coordinates and discusses deviations from the standards while also revisiting past deployments to bring them along to the enhanced version
  • Provides technical, functional and process support for assigned applications and business lines focusing on the Aggregates product line
  • Installs and configures applications to meet business requirements and processes
  • Acts as a liaison with vendors and consultants to address support activities
  • Develops documentation and communication to improve the use and availability of applications
  • Provides expert level support and maintenance of core software functionality and technology components
  • Maintains a shareable library of system documentation and practices
  • Up to 25% travel may be required.
  • Required to be on-call when assigned.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Specialized knowledge required for this position:

  • Detailed knowledge of business organization, processes and procedures in Heidelberg Materials Aggregates operations
  • A high level of expertise in the core business applications and technologies supported by the North American Business Systems group.
  • Expert knowledge in critical business systems used to support the operational needs closely related to the Aggregates and Asphalt product lines; this would include Apex, Libra and WEM
  • Proven ability to mentor people and delivers results, with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting, testing and quality assurance techniques.
  • Proficient in development of documentation to support functional specifications, data flows, etc.
  • Keen interest in new technologies and have the vision to identify opportunities for improving business processes.
  • Knowledge of all Command Alkon products a plus
  • Proficient use of Microsoft products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
