Description: Temporary Event Security Specialist – MJ Unpacked


Kansas City, MO | October 12–15, 2026


Position Overview

Liberty Defense Group is hiring Temporary Security Officers to provide security coverage for MJ Unpacked in Kansas City, Missouri, October 12–15, 2026.


This is a short-term event assignment, with each officer working approximately 15–24 hours during the event.

Officers will help maintain a safe, secure, and professional environment for event attendees, staff, vendors, and guests.


Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide a visible security presence throughout the event
  • Monitor assigned areas and access points
  • Conduct foot patrols and security checks
  • Assist with crowd and access control
  • Monitor and report suspicious or unusual activity
  • Respond appropriately to security incidents and emergencies
  • Enforce event and client policies professionally
  • Communicate effectively with event staff, security personnel, and guests
  • Complete required reports and documentation
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor at all times
Qualifications
  • Prior security, military, law enforcement, corrections, or event security experience preferred
  • Must be dependable and punctual
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Must successfully complete any required background screening

Schedule

  • Temporary event assignment
  • Approximately 15–24 hours per officer
