The Opportunity:

The Account Analyst is responsible for supporting the underwriting team in managing new and renewal business accounts. This role involves gathering and entering critical information into pricing models, conducting initial analyses of exposure, loss, and coverage, and ensuring timely and accurate processing throughout the policy lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Data Evaluation Support: Gather, organize, and enter data into pricing models for new  submissions and renewal accounts to assist in the data evaluation process.
  • Analysis of Accounts: Perform preliminary analyses of exposure, loss, and coverage to assist underwriters in their decision-making processes.
  • Workflow Management: Oversee the workflow for moderate to complex accounts from clearance through policy issuance, ensuring adherence to compliance guidelines and documentation standards.
  • Service Coordination: Respond promptly to service requests, providing support to underwriters and agents/brokers to facilitate seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Policy Processing: Process rating requests and issue policies, audits, endorsements, and cancellations for commercial lines of business in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Adherence to Procedures: Follow standard operating procedures and detailed processing instructions to maintain quality control and compliance across all tasks.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with multiple profit centers and business partners to enhance service delivery and foster a team-oriented environment.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education (Bachelors, Diploma etc.) and/or at least 2 years of related work experience, ideally in insurance operations.
  • Strong preference given to candidates with experience working with P&C or Specialty policies.
  • Knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred and progress or interest in pursuing an industry recognized designation (i.e., CIP) is an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Strong accuracy, attention to detail, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize various projects/assignments in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

Target Hiring Range:

CAD $55,000 - $65,000 per year (base salary).

This range represents the expected annual base salary for this role. Final offers will be determined based on each candidate's qualifications, relevant experience, internal equity, and the needs of the role. The posted range does not include variable compensation (bonus), allowances, or benefits. We encourage all qualified candidates to apply.
