Position Overview

Liberty Defense Group is hiring 8 Armed Security Officers for a new contract. Officers will rotate between 2 fixed security posts, as well as a mobile patrol assignment, providing a dynamic work environment while ensuring consistent security coverage across all assigned locations.


The Armed Security Officer is responsible for protecting clients, employees, visitors, and property through proactive patrols, strong situational awareness, and professional response to routine and emergency situations.


Essential Responsibilities
  • Conduct foot, vehicle, and stationary patrols
  • Monitor assigned areas to deter criminal activity
  • Respond to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents
  • Complete building, gate, and perimeter inspections
  • Enforce client policies while providing excellent customer service
  • Operate radios, surveillance equipment, and security systems
  • Prepare accurate daily activity and incident reports
  • Maintain a professional appearance and comply with all company policies
Required Equipment & Licenses
  • State-issued Agent ID (or ability to obtain)
  • Armed Security Guard Card (or ability to obtain)
  • Duty firearm with Level II or higher retention holster
  • Magazine pouch
  • OC Spray
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
Qualifications
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Legally eligible to carry a firearm
  • Prior military, law enforcement, corrections, or armed security experience preferred
  • Successfully complete all required firearms qualifications
  • Ability to pass a federal background check
  • Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
Physical Requirements
  • Stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods
  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Wear required duty equipment throughout the shift
Schedule
  • Full-Time Positions Available
  • Rotating assignments between fixed posts and mobile patrol
  • Day, evening, overnight and weekend shifts as assigned
  • 12 hr. shifts
Pay & Benefits
  • Starting Pay: $19.00/hour
  • Armed Licensing Sponsorship Program: Qualified employees may participate in our company-sponsored licensing program. Liberty Defense Group covers the upfront training and licensing costs through a payroll repayment agreement. Upon successful completion and receipt of an Armed Guard Card, employees receive a completion bonus.
