Description: Health Assistant - Liberty Elementary School
Location; Liberty Elementary School
1.0 FTE

Job Summary: Under the guidance and direction of the Licensed School Nurse, the Health Assistant is responsible for providing first aid and health care to students attending Liberty Elementary School; documenting and maintaining healthcare records and services taken within the building; providing medications to students in accordance with set policies and authorization from physicians; consults with parents, staff, students and others concerning problems or health care issues; prepares reports required of the building, district or state regarding health actions and activities.
Qualifications: A combination of education, experience, and training necessary to perform the requirements of the work. Pediatric experience is preferred.
License Requirements: No license is required but additional consideration will be given to candidates who are licensed by the State of MN as a Practical Nurse. Upon hiring the District may require the completion of various certifications while on-the-job such as CPR certification, Blood-borne Pathogen Training, and First Aid Training.
Working Conditions: Monday through Friday; Hours 7:00-2:30
