The University of Miami/UHealth Central Business Office has an exciting opportunity for a full-time Sr. Revenue Cycle Audit Specialist (H) to work in Miami, FL. The Senior Revenue Cycle Audit Specialist conducts reviews of Revenue Cycle external audits related to billing and coding. This role serves as a team lead for the Revenue Cycle Audits team. The Senior Revenue Cycle Audit Specialist contributes to the success of the Revenue Cycle and compliance program by analyzing, reviewing, and responding to external audits to mitigate cash and regulatory risk.
CORE JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Provides specialized feedback and recommendations to relevant senior staff.
  • Maintains knowledge of local, national, and federal coding and billing regulations.
  • Serves as primary UHealth liaison for governmental and commercial payer audits.
  • Reviews and analyzes documentation to support acceptable billing and documentation practices.
  • Prepares logs and statistical reports of review findings and appropriately disseminates information.
  • Gives technical and educational assistance to junior staff members and the Revenue Cycle teams.
