POSITION SUMMARY:

The Quality Engineer ensures that error-free products are delivered to ADDMAN’s customers. To accomplish this, this person will assist in maintaining and updating the quality system to meet the customers’ needs.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Manage and provide assistance for all quality-related functions including in process, receiving, final and calibration inspection and selection of appropriate tools.
  • Serve as the lead in resolution of quality related issues prior to the parts being released to the customer.
  • Assist in the Director of Quality in the formation and adherence to Quality System Standards.
  • Assist in all aspects of all ISO standard requirements.
  • Respond to customer complaints and corrective actions.
  • Generate quality plans and inspection methods to customer requirements.
  • Recommends revisions of internal documents when indicated.
  • Formulates or assists in formulating quality control procedures.
  • Makes recommendations for capital equipment with an emphasis on labor productivity improvement
  • Designs or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment.
  • Utilize six-sigma quality tools, when appropriate, to define, measure, analyze, improve and control processes and outcomes.
  • Responsible to maintain & support processes, procedures & K.P.I.’s owned by your position.

  • Completion within time stated of all training required by Job Description in “HR LG 01 Training Matrix”
  • Follow all Company policies and procedures and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

SKILL REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent technical background. Preferred degrees are in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • Minimum two years manufacturing experience
  • Knowledge of advanced measuring and inspection techniques
  • Knowledge of ISO standards
  • Extensive knowledge of blueprints and geometric tolerancing
  • Knowledge of process control and statistics
  • Good verbal and written communication skills

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • The performance of this position will require exposure to the manufacturing areas where all areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as safety glasses, hearing protection, steel toe shoes, and other mandatory safety equipment.
  • For the most part, ambient temperatures with typical plant lighting and manufacturing equipment are present throughout the facility.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Sit or stand as needed.
  • Walking primarily on a level surface for periodic periods throughout the day.
  • Reaching above shoulder height, below the waist, or lifting as required to reach documents or store materials throughout the workday.
  • Proper lifting techniques required.
  • Ability and comfortability to work in small confine spaces while following proper safety protocol.
  • Ability to accomplish the physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
