Millwright Foreman

About MMI Tank and Industrial Services

MMI Tank and Industrial Services is based in Phoenix, Arizona. Our millwright division performs all types of industrial construction, repairs, installs, and upgrades. We have built many relationships with industrial companies in the Phoenix metro area. We work during a lot of shutdowns to get equipment up and running for our clients.

Position Profile

  • Oversee a crew of 2-4 millwrights to ensure safe working habits.
  • Understands whatever the scope of a project entails and ensures that work is done with a high level of quality and efficiency.
  • Maintain truck, tools, and equipment in good working order and keep clean.
  • Complete daily reports that detail attendance and production.
  • Must be a team player that can get along with other people.
  • Complete time sheets, accident reports, work orders and other company and client paperwork as required.
  • Manage the use of equipment and machinery.
  • Have a good attitude and be willing to learn.
  • Be willing to work weekends and off hours
  • Be willing to travel, some travel may be required

Required Experience

  • 2 Years foreman experience (preferred), managing on-site projects in an industrial environment.
  • Should have at least 5 years as a journeyman as a Millwright.
  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.

Required Skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with clients in a professional manner.
  • Must be able to handle stress and job demands.
  • Must be proficient in welding MIG and Stick.
  • Experience welding pipe
  • Must have experience in rigging
  • Must have a valid driver's license
  • Must be able to read and comprehend plans, iso-metric drawings, and equipment manuals
