Description:

DarkStar Intelligence is seeking a skilled Graphic Designer to support onsite operations in Bethesda, MD. This role is responsible for developing high quality digital media, graphics, cartography, and multimedia products that support engaging and user friendly communication initiatives. The ideal candidate will have experience in front end web design, UI/UX, HTML/CSS, photography, video editing, and creating digital content such as web pages, newsletters, infographics, banners, and logos while ensuring compliance with accessibility and production standards. Candidates must possess a TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance and have experience mentoring junior staff and conducting technical quality checks.


Responsibilities:

  • Develop graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products
  • Utilizes request management tools to provide swift, high quality customer support for communication requests
  • Coordinates with UI/UX designer in Knowledge Management, to ensure graphics products provide an engaging and user-friendly experience
  • Creates graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products
  • Develop design concepts and implement designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content that will be presented online
  • Ensures products conform to all production standards, copyright laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearances
  • Conducts technical quality checks
  • Manages an approved concept and build in HTML/CSS so it complies with responsive design principles
  • Provides Cartography support, as needed, to design thematic and reference maps
Requirements:
  • Requires BA/BS and 3 years of experience or no degree and 9 years of experience.
  • TS/SCI with Polygraph level clearance required
  • Experience with the following:
    • Leading the development of graphics, digital media, cartography, and other multimedia products
    • Front-end web design, UI/UX, HTML/CSS
    • Photography and video editing
    • Mentoring and trains junior staff
    • Creating graphics products that provide engaging and user-friendly experience
    • Creating graphic designs for a variety of written and digital products
    • Developing design concepts and implements designs for new web pages, mobile applications, newsletters, ads, infographics, banners, illustrations, logos, and other types of digital content presented online
    • Ensuring products conform to all production standards, copyright laws, accessibility compliance requirements, public release clearances
    • Conducting technical quality checks


Salary Range

$110,000 - $140,000 per year This pay range is a general guideline and not a guarantee of specific compensation or salary.
