Our client, a nationally recognized law firm with a sophisticated renewable energy practice, is seeking an Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join its Energy practice group. This position may be based in any of the firm's offices nationwide.

What you'll do:
• Represent clients in renewable energy project development matters.
• Draft, negotiate, and close a wide variety of complex commercial agreements.
• Advise clients on project acquisitions, divestitures, and financing transactions.
• Support renewable energy projects involving wind, solar, battery storage, and other energy technologies.
• Assist with real estate, project development, and energy-related transactional matters.
• Work with project sponsors, investors, lenders, and developers throughout all phases of project development and financing.
• Collaborate with attorneys across multiple practice areas to deliver practical business solutions for clients.
What you will need:
• J.D. from an accredited law school with strong academic credentials.
• 2-4 years of experience in renewable energy transactions, conventional energy transactions, or comparable transactional practices.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Renewable or conventional energy transactions
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Project finance
- Real estate transactions
- Project development
• Demonstrated experience negotiating, drafting, and closing complex commercial agreements.
• Excellent writing, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Licensed to practice law in the jurisdiction where you'd be located.
• Experience with renewable energy tax credits, including Investment Tax Credits (ITCs) and Production Tax Credits (PTCs), is a plus but not required.
