Job description

Description

Quantum Sky is searching for a Senior Engineering Technicianย to design, develop, configure, install, and maintain Physical Security Engineering and Electronic Security Systems in support of customer mission security requirements. The Senior Engineering Technician will workย as part of an integrated team including system administrators and network engineers to design and develop the next evolution of physical security and electronic security systems. Support will be on-site at Hawaii. ย ย ย 

Responsibilities:

  • Install, test, and maintain physical security systems including, but not limited to, access control, closed-circuit television and intrusion detection.
  • Review engineering drawings in accordance with DoD engineering drawings practices.
  • Provide security engineering support including review and response to technical specifications, scope of work, product selection, surveys with customer interview, design, technical writing, and implementation of Electronic Security Systems.
  • Participate in site surveys.
  • Participate in design reviews and provide value-add recommendations.
  • Ability to troubleshoot LENEL manufactured security system and access control system equipment and software.
  • Reviews maintenance trouble tickets, research and provide solutions.
  • Assist in the development of Installation Design Packages (IDP) that are SIPH compliant for Electronic Security Systems such as PACS, IDS/PIDS, VMS, and other related low voltage systems for highly sensitive areas.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering (Minor) with three (3) years' experience; OR five (5) years' experience if candidate does not have a degree.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience working with Electronic Security and Surveillance video systems.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience in site survey participation, system installations and maintenance and field support for information technology, AIS and system related equipment.
  • Experience with Lenel Systems and Products.
  • Experience with Axis video products.
  • Experience with computer and servers to include Windows 11, Server 2022 & 2025 experience.
  • A minimum of three (3) years' experience managing subordinate technical personnel.
  • Ability to obtain CompTIA Security+ certification within 3 months of hire.
  • Ability to obtain Lenel Professional certification within 6 months of hire.

Clearance:

  • Active TS clearance with SCI Eligibility is required with the ability to obtain a CI polygraph.
