Job description

INDIRECT Lending Product Owner / SME - Job Summary
Location: Boca Raton, FL (Hybrid 3 days onsite)
Duration: 12 Months
Role Impact & Expectations
Join a high-visibility transformation team as the Indirect Lending Product Owner / SME. You'll be instrumental in modernizing digital banking platforms, particularly in the indirect lending domain (home improvement, remodeling, flipping). Your expertise will help drive post-merger integrations and digital rebuilds, acting as a critical liaison between business, product, and engineering teams. This is a strategic role where you will shape product vision, define technical requirements, and ensure successful delivery of innovative digital solutions across web and mobile channels.
Emphasis on Skills:
Success in this position requires deep knowledge of Banking, Mobile application development, Product Ownership, and Indirect Lending. Experience with Agile methodologies and API-driven architectures is crucial.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead discovery, requirement definition, and solution evaluation for digital banking projects
- Own the product vision, roadmap, and backlog prioritization for indirect lending solutions
- Convert business strategy into actionable MVP plans and incremental delivery schedules
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including PI Planning, Sprint Planning, and Backlog Grooming
- Define and manage user stories, acceptance criteria, and maintain backlog health
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and UX teams for design alignment
- Develop API contracts and oversee integration flows between legacy and modern systems
- Drive open banking architecture and promote API reusability
- Oversee digital channel rebuilds (iOS, Android, Web)
- Support stakeholder engagement during demos, UAT, and production rollout
- Manage release documentation and support models
- Collaborate with testing teams for functional validation
- Lead process optimization via RPA (UiPath) and automation frameworks
- Identify and drive opportunities for business process automation
- Conduct requirement elicitation, business process mapping, and documentation
Recruiter Insights
This role is highly attractive for its strategic ownership over digital banking transformation with a focus on indirect lending. Competitive advantages include hands-on influence in post-merger initiatives and direct impact on banking platform modernization. Preferred skills such as SAFe certification and experience with RPA or major integrations are beneficial but not mandatory, offering flexibility for strong candidates. The hybrid work environment in Boca Raton provides both team collaboration and work-life balance.
Candidate Insights
Candidates will find this opportunity appealing for its leadership in shaping next-generation digital banking products. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive digital innovation, and gain exposure to advanced API and automation technologies. The chance to work on high-impact transformation projects, especially in a growing location like Boca Raton, sets this role apart for ambitious professionals in the banking technology space.
