The Consultant role is at the core of our case team structure. Coming from diverse backgrounds and using their creative problem-solving and managerial skills, Consultants at L.E.K. guide our case teams to provide breakthrough insights that create real value. You will make a difference by driving our teams to deliver actionable advice and strategies to help our clients win.

Consultants at L.E.K. manage a team of Associates and/or Associate Consultants and are on point to ensure the team is addressing client problems and delivering the best answer. While every case is different, Consultantsโ€™ primary responsibilities typically include:

  • Breaking down and outlining the clientโ€™s key strategic issues
  • Designing and supervising the teamโ€™s core research tasks and analyses day-to-day
  • Developing presentations and other deliverable structures
  • Participating in the communication of project conclusions to client senior management
  • Providing guidance, mentorship, and feedback to more junior staff

QUALIFICATIONS

While we do not use a rigid checklist, we seek candidates who demonstrate a combination of attributes that form an excellent foundation for a successful consulting career at L.E.K. These include leadership, drive, intellectual curiosity, strong analytical ability, a collaborative mindset, and uncompromising ethics.

Qualified candidates are typically enrolled in an MBA program with an expected graduation date between April and June 2027. While L.E.K. prioritizes MBA candidates, individuals with relevant prior business or professional experience will also be considered. Consultants at L.E.K. generally possess advanced degrees or several years of experience in roles requiring strong problem solving, structured thinking, and the ability to drive impactful, data-informed decisions.

Note: As part of the selection process, candidates will be required to complete an online assessment. This enables us to gain a more comprehensive understanding of each candidateโ€™s skills, strengths, and potential.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
  • The base salary for this position is $185,000 annually. E.K. also offers a performance bonus and profit sharing.
  • L.E.K. Consulting offers a competitive total rewards package including medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) with employer contribution, HSA contributions (where applicable), paid time off, and other firm-sponsored benefits.
  • This role follows our hybrid work model for U.S. offices. We require employees to be in their assigned home office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday each week, as well as the first Friday of each month.
