Job description

Salary:

Construction Superintendent

Since 1946, Lehman Daman has been a trusted commercial general contractor and construction manager serving Central Ohio and surrounding states. The Superintendent will manage construction projects from planning through execution, by collaborating with project teams, directing subcontractors, and ensuring schedules and budgets are met.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to determine construction requirements, establish project schedules and timelines, and manage subcontractor performance throughout the duration of the project.
  • Daily on-site management of construction projects.
  • Always maintaining our company culture of safety; leading by example and having a personal commitment to safety excellence.
  • Responsible for maintaining project schedules, suppliers, cost, and quality.
  • Effectively communicate with subcontractors, suppliers, and owners.
  • Perform carpentry tasks as needed, including doors, hardware, blocking, and partitions.
  • Complete required paperwork, such as daily reports, two-week lookaheads, safety audits, and email correspondence.
  • Perform walkthrough and aftercare punch items after project completion.
  • Plan the job prior to execution through careful study of drawings, specifications, and other project information.
  • Sometimes assist the business development and estimating team in interviewing for new work with potential customers.

Qualifications:

  • Ability to foster a positive and productive environment while leading daily on-site construction activities.
  • Completion of 10-Hour OSHA training (30-Hour preferred); LD will coordinate training through The Builders Exchange of Central Ohio if needed.
  • Proficient in basic technology; including email, mobile devices, tablets, and digital photography.
  • Highly organized with strong analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Critical thinker and effective problem solver.
  • Three (3) years minimum experience managing work as a foreman and/or superintendent.
  • High School diploma or GED required.
