Essential Job Functions:
โ€ข Keeps safety as #1 priority. Wears appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and follows instructions of handling materials based on their SDS (safety data sheets).
โ€ข Follow applicable building codes, ordinances, and regulations of State and local authorities including OSHA.
โ€ข Always follow LEGOLAND California policies and procedures.
โ€ข May be required to assist in a variety of other maintenance-related tasks depending on the needs of the department and employee capabilities.
โ€ข Ensures compliance with internal maintenance, safety, and security procedures by following established ASTM, NEC, State and local electrical codes, and loss prevention guidelines.
โ€ข Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
โ€ข Must be at least 18 years old.
โ€ข Follows established maintenance programs, including any emergency repairs as required to keep down time to an acceptable minimum.
โ€ข Operates simple machine tools, such as drill presses, power saws, grinders, power drills, hand tools, etc.
โ€ข Recognizes equipment that needs repair, replacing, or adjusting and reports it to supervisor.
โ€ข Keeps tools, machines, and all other company equipment in clean and proper working order.
โ€ข Attends department training, supplemental courses, and seminars to stay up to date on updated technical information and products.
โ€ข Is a liaison with fellow maintenance MCs and other departments.
โ€ข Responds to emergency calls within the hotels, for repairs and maintenance as directed by the maintenance supervisor.
โ€ข Requires a demonstrated flexibility to handle a wide range of highly complex and challenging duties throughout the hotels, with extreme care, focused attention, and skillful precision.
โ€ข Ability to work outdoors in any weather condition.
โ€ข Ability to stand/walk for long periods of time, and long distances.
โ€ข Flexible Availability around resort (peak and nonpeak times).
โ€ข Ability to work nights/weekends/holidays through agreed upon employment.
โ€ข Advises working supervisor and/or management of any discrepancies in equipment or tools.
