In this role you will manage the full sales cycle for a territory that consists of K-12 School Districts and higher education institutions primarily across the state of California, but also in Oregon, Washington State, Hawaii. The day-to-day responsibilities consist of remote and work travel for in person meetings for conferences/events up to 30%.

This position is pivotal in connecting educators and institutions with innovative, hands-on learning solutions that inspire creativity and collaboration in students. By fostering strong relationships and delivering impactful strategies, the Account Manager will play a key role in empowering schools to harness the power of play in education, shaping a future where every child can thrive. Please Note:

  • This is a remoteposition based out ofCaliforniawith up to 30% travel in the market.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own and lead the end-to-end sales cycle for the LEGO Education Mid-market sales team in California, driving growth and exceeding annual sales targets.

  • Build and cultivate strong relationships with district-leveladministrators, effectively communicating the LEGO Education value proposition to increase market share and positivelyimpactstudent engagement with the LEGO Learning System.

  • Develop andmaintaina robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting activities, including cold calling,conferences, andemail outreach.

  • Collaborate cross-functionallywithField Sales, Marketing, and Curriculum Specialists to enhance customer experience and drive product adoption.

  • Demonstratestrong pipeline developmentand managementskills, measured by opportunity creation and forecasting accuracy.

  • Document all sales opportunities and activities in the company CRM system, ensuring data-driven decision-making and strategic follow-ups.

  • Stay informed on industry trends, funding opportunities, and key influencers within the territory to enhance strategic prospecting and territory planning.

  • Conduct compelling product presentations in both in-person and virtual settings, successfullyshowingthe benefits of LEGO Education products.

  • Nurtureexisting customer relationships,enablingcustomer success and expansion.

A critical part of the LEGO Education sales team is driving significant growth and new customer acquisition across the US. The account manager willbe responsible forgrowing their base of business within a defined set of accounts with a strong focus on outbound prospecting. Account managers are tightly aligned with marketing for lead generation and prospecting campaigns while working with other cross-functional teams to bring complex solutions to their customers.

  • BA Degree with preference towards industry related fields or equivalent work experience.

  • Experienceselling into the public K-12 market and managinglarge, high-volume sales territories.

  • Demonstrated successexecuting a prospecting strategy that exceeds pipeline expectations.

  • Ability and willingness to travel up to 30% of the time.

  • Experience collaborating across functions (Marketing, Grants and Funding, Solution Architects, and otherAccount Managers) to enhance team performance.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and a proventrack recordto conduct persuasive presentations.

  • Appetite to learn with change readiness and a growth mindset.

  • Experienceusing CRM platforms and account management tools.

  • Proventrack recordof being a top sales performer.

  • Primary residence in California.

*Our Account Manager role features a competitive compensation model consisting of a base salary and performance-based commission.

Compensation

The salary for this position has a range of $96,326.00 - $144,488.00 based on anticipated responsibilities, market benchmarks, and organizational constraints. The LEGO Group carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors, including but not limited to prior experience, skills, expertise, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. The comprehensive remuneration details, inclusive of benefits, will be communicated upon finalisation of the employment offer.
