Job description

LEGO® Ambassador / Product Specialist

Location: Bricks & Minifigs Ann Arbor, MI
Position Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (based on candidate fit)

About Us

Bricks & Minifigs Ann Arbor is Michigan’s ultimate destination for LEGO® fans! We specialize in buying, selling, and trading all things LEGO — from new sets and retired collections to bulk bricks and custom creations. Our store thrives on creativity, community, and connection, and we’re looking for an energetic LEGO Ambassador to help share that passion with every guest who walks through our doors.

Position Overview

As a LEGO Ambassador, you’ll serve as a product expert, merchandiser, and customer experience champion. You’ll help create an engaging, family-friendly environment where imagination thrives, whether that’s inspiring a young builder, assisting with set selection, or curating our latest displays.

This position blends sales, merchandising, and brand representation — perfect for someone who loves LEGO and wants to be part of a growing creative retail team.

Key Responsibilities

Customer Engagement & Sales

  • Deliver a welcoming and enthusiastic experience for every guest.

  • Educate customers on products, new releases, and store events.

  • Provide exceptional customer service in-store and at special events.

  • Support sales goals through suggestive selling and creative merchandising.

Product Expertise & Merchandising

  • Maintain and refresh displays, themed tables, and feature walls.

  • Ensure accurate product tagging, signage, and inventory placement.

  • Learn and communicate product details and rarity insights for sets, minifigs, and bulk.

  • Contribute to themed builds and creative in-store presentations.

Brand Representation & Events

  • Represent the Bricks & Minifigs and LEGO® communities at local events or conventions.

  • Act as a positive brand ambassador on social media and in community outreach.

Store Support

  • Process trade-ins and inventory following established procedures.

  • Assist with POS transactions, restocking, and organization of bulk and minifig sections.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and inviting store environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong customer service and communication skills.

  • You do not have to be a LEGO® superfan or expert but we would love you to have enthusiasm for LEGO® products, creativity, and community.

  • Retail or merchandising experience preferred but not required.

  • Ability to lift and organize inventory

  • Dependable, team-oriented, and comfortable in a dynamic retail environment.

  • Flexible schedule availability

Perks

  • Employee discounts

  • Creative, fun, and family-friendly workplace.

  • Opportunities for advancement in store operations, events, and management.

  • Be part of a team that celebrates imagination and community every day.

Compensation

  • Part-Time/Full-Time: $12.50–$15+ (based on experience)
