Job description

Young Engineers of Greater San Diego strives to provide STEM based programming for all ages. Not only do we have the opportunity to influence the children who are our future, but we are fortunate to be able to provide jobs for our community.

You will be instructing our after school STEM & Lego building program. During these programs, you will use motorized Legos to teach theoretical STEM subjects. The children will also have the opportunity to build motorized Lego models to implement the STEM theories you teach them.

No prior knowledge in science or Lego building is required. Our training will include all necessary STEM theories as well as all required Lego building skills.

Job requirements:

- Must have a passion for teaching and guiding children

- Must have experience working with elementary school aged children

- Must have general knowledge of the Common Core curriculum

- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

- A vehicle for transportation (this is a must!)

- Willing to work 5 days per week

- Compensation is $16:50-$18 per hour
