Job description

The primary responsibilities of the Mail Legal Specialist include reviewing and sorting mailed documents, categorizing information, and entering data into designated systems. Our new specialist will also be asked to cover the front desk coverage from time to time including greeting visitors, and taking incoming calls as needed. Responsibilities:
  • Receives, reviews, and sorts incoming mail.
  • Interprets and enters data electronically.
  • Follows up with internal clients to resolve questions, inconsistencies, or missing data.
  • Files or routes source documents after entry.
  • Processes and scans checks.
  • Performs other clerical duties, which may include photocopying, filing, and collating.
  • Provides coverage for the front desk as needed.
  • Complete all required training applicable to this position
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this position
  • Other duties, as assigned

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 1 year relevant experience working in a mailroom, stockroom or processing department preferred.
  • A valid state driver's license and an acceptable driving record is required.
  • Ability to lift and/or move supply deliveries and packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to type a minimum of 35 words per minute for accurate data entry skills.
  • Basic knowledge of buildings and grounds maintenance techniques in order to assess and resolve reported issues.
  • May need to be available for OT or on call (minimally).
  • Must be able to pass a detailed background check and drug screen

The Schedule:
8:00am - 4:30pm Monday through Friday
Compensation and Benefits:
  • The expected compensation is $19.48/hour

Work Environment:
This position operates in a professional office environment. It is representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee will experience low to moderate noise levels and moderate interruptions. The workspace is well-lit and climate controlled.
