We are looking for a detail-oriented Legal Secretary to support a busy legal team in East Syracuse, New York. This contract opportunity with permanent potential is ideal for someone who is organized, responsive, and comfortable handling time-sensitive legal and administrative work. The role focuses on document coordination, records collection, and case-related support while helping maintain efficient daily operations.
Responsibilities:
• Provide day-to-day administrative and clerical support within a legal office environment.
• Request medical documentation from providers, monitor outstanding items, and follow up to secure records on schedule.
• Prepare arbitration-related paperwork accurately and submit forms in accordance with required timelines.
• Obtain police reports and maintain organized case files for easy access by the legal team.
• Assemble, merge, and manage large volumes of case documents using Adobe tools to create complete master files.
• Draft, format, revise, and organize legal and administrative documents using Microsoft Word and related office applications.
• Track incoming materials and keep records updated to support smooth case progression.
• Assist with the preparation of summonses and other legal correspondence as needed.• Previous experience in a Legal Secretary or similar legal administrative support role.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Word, for document creation and editing.
