This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong organizational and document-handling skills.

Job Description:

The Legal Assistant will be responsible for supporting day-to-day legal operations through document preparation, file coordination, and administrative support tasks. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple deadlines, and comfort working with both electronic and physical legal files.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare, format, and revise legal documents to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Review documents for errors and perform quality checks prior to finalization.
  • Scan, organize, and maintain both physical and digital legal files.
  • Create and manage case files, including opening new matters and maintaining proper documentation.
  • Convert, clean, and organize documents for attorney and client use.
  • Run comparison documents (blacklines) to track changes between versions.
  • Draft routine correspondence such as transmittal letters and cover communications.
  • Assemble, organize, and finalize closing binders and case materials.
  • Prepare outgoing shipments, including FedEx packages and legal deliveries.
  • Request, track, and process invoices as needed for case-related expenses.
  • Maintain and monitor closing calendars to ensure all deadlines are met.
  • Support attorneys and staff with general administrative and clerical tasks.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a legal assistant, administrative, or law firm support required.
  • Must have Real Estate Legal experience.
  • Strong attention to detail and proofreading skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and basic office software.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
