Job description

Women's Care, founded in 1998, is a leading women's healthcare group in the United States, dedicated to providing the highest quality of care for women through their reproductive years and beyond. With 100+ locations and over 400 OB/GYNs and specialists across the country, Women's Care provides comprehensive patient care in obstetrics, gynecology, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, gynecologic pathology, breast surgery, genetic counseling, maternal fetal medicine, laboratory services, and fertility.
The Senior Paralegal and Legal Operations Coordinator will assist the attorney by providing drafting, research support and clerical services, including document preparation and review and other assigned projects, while also coordinating the operations of the legal department.
  • Works with the General Counsel on assigned projects, including drafting HIPAA Business Associate Agreements, corporate resolutions, routine amendments to provider employment agreements, contracts, leases, compliance matters, risk matters, litigation, notices of termination for vendor contracts.
  • Provides overview of the key legal terms in vendor contracts and hospital contracts.
  • Updates and maintains electronic contracting database.
  • Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
  • Coordinates the operations of the Legal Department, including establishing and operationalizing a legal filing system, developing project and task tracking, managing legal inboxes, managing calendaring.
  • Demonstrates and embodies the Women's Care mission and core values.
  • Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required; paralegal studies or related field preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Previous experience working within a legal department of a healthcare company is preferred.
  • Previous experience working in a private law firm is preferred.
  • 7-10 years of experience in legal operations and/or paralegal services.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to function well in a high-paced environment.
  • High integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality, and to exercise discretion and good judgment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
