What is a legal intake sales professional?

A Legal Intake Sales professional is responsible for handling initial inquiries from potential clients at a law firm or legal service provider. They gather essential case information, assess the needs of callers, and determine if the case aligns with the firm's practice areas. In addition to customer service, they use sales techniques to convert inquiries into new clients for the firm. Their role is crucial in the client acquisition process, as they are often the first point of contact and help guide clients through the intake process.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a legal intake sales professional?

To thrive as a Legal Intake Sales professional, you need a strong understanding of legal terminology, client qualification processes, and sales techniques, often supported by experience in legal or sales environments. Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software, call tracking systems, and intake management tools is typically required. Excellent communication, active listening, and empathy are crucial soft skills for building trust and rapport with potential clients. These skills and qualities are vital to effectively convert inquiries into clients while ensuring a positive representation of the legal firm.

Job description

Turn complex opportunities into compelling stories that help us win.
At Quest Analytics, we help healthcare organizations solve complex challenges and how we communicate that value to each individual buyer matters.
We're looking for a Sales Revenue Enablement Specialist who can connect the dots between what our solutions do, what our customers need, and how we tell that story in a way that resonates.
This is a highly visible, hands-on role sitting at the intersection of Sales and Marketing. You'll own and support some of the most important content tied directly to revenue from complex RFPs and proposals to customized presentations and opportunity-specific messaging.
Just as importantly, we're looking for someone who sees an opportunity to make the function better. You'll help us build the content libraries, workflows, tools, and AI-enabled processes that allow our teams to work smarter, move faster, and deliver consistently strong materials at scale.
What You'll Do:
In this role, you'll work directly alongside our Sales, Marketing, Product, Legal, and Client Services teams to help turn complex opportunities into compelling, buyer-specific stories. You'll own critical RFP and proposal work, help Sales tailor the Quest Analytics story to individual opportunities, and build the tools and processes that allow us to do this work faster and more effectively.
Own Our RFP Program
You'll serve as the primary point of contact and project manager for incoming RFPs and RFIs, taking ownership from intake through final submission.
You'll:
  • Manage intake, triage, timelines, contributors, reviews, and final submissions across multiple concurrent RFPs and RFIs.
  • Lead response development from start to finish, including research, writing, data gathering, SME coordination, and response formatting.
  • Partner across Sales, Product, Legal, Client Services, and other teams to develop accurate, differentiated responses that reflect both Quest Analytics' positioning and the specific needs of each buyer.
  • Maintain and continuously improve our centralized RFP content library and response database, creating a reliable source of reusable, high-quality content.
  • Track RFP activity, outcomes, turnaround times, and recurring questions to identify opportunities to improve both content and process.
Help Sales Win with Buyer-Specific Content
You'll be a go-to resource for our Sales team when an opportunity requires more than an off-the-shelf presentation or standard product message.
Working directly with Account Executives and sales leaders, you'll understand the customer's priorities, buyer personas, business challenges, regulatory environment, and competitive dynamics to translate those insights into content that helps Sales tell the right story.
You'll:
  • Develop individualized proposals and opportunity specific materials for new business and existing account opportunities.
  • Create executive summaries, solution overviews, ROI frameworks, tailored value propositions, and other sales materials.
  • Customize presentations and demonstration narratives around the customer's specific workflows, goals, challenges, and desired outcomes.
  • Translate core Product Marketing messaging and positioning into account-specific content without losing the consistency of the broader Quest Analytics story.
  • Help ensure customer-facing materials clearly connect our capabilities to the business problems and outcomes that matter most to each buyer.
Build Smarter, AI-Enabled Processes
We're looking for someone who doesn't just execute the work as you'll help us build a better way to do it.
You'll:
  • Evaluate, implement, and manage AI-assisted RFP and content-development tools.
  • Identify opportunities to use AI, automation, templates, and reusable content to improve speed and consistency.
  • Build and optimize content libraries and response workflows that reduce unnecessary manual effort.
  • Help establish processes that make high-quality, opportunity-specific content increasingly scalable and self-service.
  • Train and support team members in effectively using new tools and workflows.
  • Use performance data and feedback to identify content gaps and continuously improve the quality and effectiveness of our RFP and sales-support capabilities.

What You'll Need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred
  • 7+ years of experience in RFP management, proposal writing, product marketing, or sales enablement, preferably in a B2B SaaS or healthcare IT environment
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent RFPs under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality
  • Strong writing skills with experience translating technical product capabilities into clear, buyer-relevant language
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional teams and holding SMEs accountable to timelines and deliverables
  • Familiarity with RFP management or AI-assisted proposal tools (e.g., GTM Buddy, Responsive/RFPIO, Loopio, Qvidian, Copilot, ChatGPT, or other proposal automation platforms) to streamline proposal development, content management, and response quality.
  • Experience supporting account-based marketing or sales enablement functions in a complex B2B sales environment
  • Comfort working with CRM systems, sales content management platforms, and marketing automation tools
  • Healthcare, health plan, or healthcare IT background a plus
  • Self-motivated and able to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment
  • Excellent troubleshooting, listening, and problem-solving skills
