Position: Systems Business Analyst

Location: 3535 Colonnade Parkway, Birmingham AL 35243

Position Overview

The Systems Business Analyst is a seasoned professional responsible for understanding business needs and translating them into effective technical solutions. This role partners closely with stakeholders to analyze business processes, gather and document requirements, and support the design and implementation of systems and applications that drive organizational success.

The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with technical acumen and the ability to communicate effectively across business and IT teams.


Key Responsibilities

Requirements Gathering & Documentation

  • Lead the collection and documentation of detailed business requirements for system enhancements and new initiatives
  • Prepare comprehensive system requirements specifications
  • Develop user guides, process documentation, and technical reference materials

Systems & Process Analysis

  • Conduct in-depth system analysis, including process modeling and workflow mapping
  • Perform data analysis to support system improvements and decision-making
  • Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and opportunities for process optimization

Collaboration & Implementation Support

  • Work cross-functionally with IT, business units, and project teams to ensure effective system integration
  • Support system design discussions and implementation planning
  • Assist in testing, validation, and deployment efforts

Continuous Improvement & Leadership

  • Contribute to the development of advanced business systems analysis methodologies and best practices
  • Mentor junior analysts and provide guidance on analysis projects
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives across business systems

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2–5 years of experience in business systems analysis or related role
  • Proficiency in business process modeling tools and requirements management software
  • Strong knowledge of system analysis techniques
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
