Summary

This position will perform various functions relating to the warehouse.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Provides prompt, efficient, courteous service to both internal and external customers
  • Performs duties such as issuing and staging requested material, receiving and stocking ordered material, loading and unloading material, cycle counting material, and performing all necessary associated system transactions
  • Provides assistance to personnel from all departments in obtaining necessary material
  • Demonstrates a high standard of safety and is willing and able to comply with all safety regulations and Company safety policies
  • All other duties as assigned

Knowledge of gas distribution materials and proper procedures for receiving, issuing and handling those materials
* Certified under the Operator Qualifications requirements
* Ability to process routine functions on a daily basis
* Knowledge of utilities industry terminology
* Effective communication skills and ability to interact appropriately with others
* Ability to operate normal office equipment, including personal computer, facsimile and copier

Ability to operate all warehouse equipment, including forklifts and pallet jacks

Physical demands, environment and schedule

* Normal work environment - work is normally performed inside, but may be exposed to inclement weather conditions in certain situations
* Lifting up to 50 pounds and frequent walking and standing
* Push/pull up to 100 pounds of force
* Work hours in accordance to job bid sheet
* Overtime and/or travel based on business needs
