Job description

We are looking for an eager and energeticProjectDevelopmentEngineer that is passionate about the energy and sustainability industry. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Performs preliminary and conceptual engineering tasks, including energy analysis and modeling.
  • Conduct and support ASHRAE Level I and Level II energy audits.
  • Support business development activities that lead to awarded contracts, including client relationship building, project positioning, teaming arrangements, proposal preparation, and oral presentations.
  • Manage Microsoft Project for project scheduling and all related Project Development activities.
  • Extract utility data from customer bills for energy modeling.
  • Perform custom engineering calculations and energy modeling using eQuest and Trane Trace 3D.
  • Support implementation and commissioning teams by providing required information and data to successfully complete projects.
  • Apply knowledge of mission-critical systems and terminology to build customer confidence during energy audits, client engagements, and Project Development.
  • Participate in complex problem solving during energy audits, contributing unique and creative solutions.
  • Support the timely delivery of project deliverables and adherence to development schedules.
  • Research, evaluate, and recommend new and emerging technologies for use in future projects.
  • Perform all duties in alignment with the Company's vision, purpose, quality objectives, and established policies and procedures.

Job Requirements / Qualifications

  • Applicable Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, or a minimum of 5 years' experience is required.
  • Additional project development, engineering, and energy related professional certifications are a plus (e.g. LEED-AP, CEM, DBIA, etc.)
  • Two or more years of progressive project development or implementation experience.
  • Strong initiative, and interpersonal communications skills required.
  • Demonstrates engineering and analytical acumen to develop complex solutions and build credibility.
  • Experienceworking oncomplex projects and interdisciplinary teams of professionals.
  • Moderate regional travel required with possibility of limited national travel. Ability to travel 30 - 50% of the time.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects and tasks to ensure timely delivery of high-quality deliverables.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders while delivering excellent customer service in a highly dynamic growth environment.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving, entrepreneurial work environment.
