Direct Reports: None
Status: Full-time; Hourly; Non-Exempt
Hourly Range: $28.00 - $33.50
Schedule: 40 hours/week, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (with some variation possible).  May need to be available on weekends.

What We Do:
Woodcraft Rangers provides TK-12 expanded learning programs, including before and after school, specialty enrichment, and summer learning. In the past few years, Woodcraft has expanded its menu of services beyond traditional afterschool programs and summer camps to include early learning, environmental and social justice, college access, and inclusion services for youth with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Additionally, we offer LifeCraft, a college and career advancement program to support the development of approximately 2,250 staff. Today, Woodcraft Rangers serves more than 30,000 youth ages 4 to 18 each year across 150 plus Title I schools in Los Angeles, San Bernardino, and Riverside counties, and continues to expand its reach.
Role Overview:
The IT Associate provides Tier 1 technical and operational support across Woodcraft Rangers’ network of program sites. Reporting to the Director of Information Technology, this role supports day-to-day IT operations, asset management, and logistics. The ideal candidate is service-oriented, detail-focused, and comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, field-based environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Tier 1 technical support, troubleshooting hardware and software issues and documenting requests and resolutions.
  • Install, maintain, test, and repair IT systems and equipment across 120+ program sites.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and asset records across internal systems and reporting platforms.
  • Conduct routine inventory audits and equipment checks across locations.
  • Support purchasing of approved equipment and supplies; track and reconcile expenses.
  • Coordinate logistics including receiving, storage, and distribution of equipment and materials.
  • Inspect incoming shipments, resolve discrepancies with vendors, and ensure quality standards.
  • Build and maintain vendor relationships to support cost efficiency and service quality.
  • Assist with development, documentation, and training of IT policies and procedures in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Support loss prevention protocols across headquarters and field locations.
  • Assist with event logistics, including equipment delivery, setup, and breakdown.
  • Operate and maintain organizational vehicles and equipment in a safe and compliant manner.
  • Prepare regular reports including asset tracking and inventory summaries.
  • Travel regularly to program sites across Los Angeles County and surrounding areas.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental and organizational needs
Qualifications and Experience:
  • 1+ year of experience in IT support, logistics, inventory management, or a related field preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of hardware/software troubleshooting and IT support practices.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and web-based systems.
  • Experience with asset management systems, inventory tools, or platforms such as Shopify or Sage is a plus.
  • Valid California Class C driver’s license and ability to travel locally on a regular basis.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs).
  • Comfortable working in both office and field environments
