Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced concrete construction Project Manager or a Senior Project Manager to oversee and coordinate concrete construction projects from inception through completion. The ideal candidate will ensure that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires an individual with a deep understanding of

commercial concrete construction techniques, project management best practices, and effective leadership skills. The title and salary will be commensurate to an individual's knowledge, skills, and experience.


Responsibilities

Project Planning and Management

  • Develop and interpret project plans, schedules, and budgets, aligning with client requirements and project objectives.
  • Coordinate and manage all stages of the concrete construction process, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Ensure project objectives are met and adhere to ACI requirements and company standards

Site Supervision and Coordination

  • Oversee all on-site activities, including the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and labor crews.
  • Conduct regular site visits & inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards, quality expectations, and project specifications.
  • Resolve any on-site issues quickly to minimize delays and maintain project schedule.

Resource and Budget Management

  • Track and manage project expenses, ensuring adherence to the approved budget.
  • Order materials and equipment as required, and coordinate delivery schedules to align with project timelines.
  • Optimize resource utilization and manage project costs effectively.

Quality Control and Compliance

  • Implement and maintain quality control processes for all concrete work.
  • Ensure projects comply with ACI/ASTM concrete construction standards.
  • Conduct ongoing & final inspections and ensure client satisfaction before project close-out.

Team Leadership and Communication

  • Lead and motivate project teams, providing guidance and support to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Communicate project progress, risks, and solutions to clients, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Document and report on project milestones, costs, and outcomes.


Position Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction project management, preferably commercial concrete construction.
  • Proven track record of managing successful concrete construction projects from start to finish.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial construction plan reading including, concrete materials, structural systems, and site management practices.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore, or similar).
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, with flexibility to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • ACI Flatwork, OSHA 30, and other relevant certifications are a plus.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work safely on-site and perform fieldwork requirements as necessary.
  • Physically able to perform construction inspections and assessments while on an active construction site subjected to noise, debris, dust, hot & cold weather, areas of elevated height requiring ladders or stairs.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
