We are excited to announce openings in our Design & Build Install team as a HVAC Project Inside Sales Engineer.
The Inside Sales Engineer is responsible for supporting revenue growth by developing HVAC system replacement and retrofit solutions for existing customers.
This role prepares accurate estimates, proposals, and technical solutions while collaborating closely with the Outside Sales, Engineering, Service, and Operations teams.
The Inside Sales Engineer helps deliver consultative, customer-focused HVAC solutions while ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and strong customer relationships.
Responsibilities:
  • Consult with existing customers regarding system replacement, retrofit, and energy conservation opportunities.
  • Analyze the useful life of equipment and assets managed by Tudi Mechanical Systems and develop budget recommendations for future replacements.
  • Prepare accurate estimates, proposals, and technical documentation for HVAC system upgrades and replacements.
  • Utilize knowledge of HVAC equipment including packaged units, split systems, VAV systems, and ductwork to estimate replacement and retrofit costs.
  • Support the Sales Team by assisting in the development of technical solutions that address customer needs.
  • Assist with the coordination and execution of smaller retrofit and service-related projects.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Service, and Operations teams to ensure proposed solutions are practical, accurate, and aligned with project requirements.
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers through clear communication, responsiveness, and professional support.
  • Support the achievement of company sales, revenue, and gross profit goals.

Requirements
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the HVAC or mechanical services industry preferred.
  • Experience selling, estimating, or supporting HVAC mechanical solutions.
  • Working knowledge of HVAC equipment and systems such as packaged units, split systems, VAV systems, and ductwork.
  • Understanding of financial considerations including ROI, payback, cash flow impact, and leasing vs. purchasing options.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and ability to work with estimating and proposal tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to build rapport and maintain strong customer relationships.
